3D did not begin in fashion. It began in sound — in the African diaspora tradition of making something transcendent from what was already at hand. The same ingenuity that turned a worksong into a spiritual, a quilt scrap into a masterpiece, a salvaged MPC into a life's work — that is the root of everything 3D does.
The Gee's Bend quilters didn't wait for new materials. The work song singers didn't wait for better conditions. They designed from what existed, decreased what was wasted, and distributed what they knew.
3D is that same philosophy — applied to fashion, to textile waste, to community. Music was the soul behind the act. Now, fabric is the medium. The ingenuity never changed.

Jaimeo Brown Transcendence is a musical project built on the sounds of the Gee's Bend quilters — African American women on the Alabama River whose patchwork quilts and worksongs became one of the most powerful examples of circular creation in American history. Making art from scraps. Finding transcendence in labor. Distributing culture through craft.
That is the exact philosophy behind 3D. When 3D and Jaimeo Brown Transcendence collaborate, it is not a brand partnership — it is a conversation between two practices that were always speaking the same language.
Quilting
The Gee's Bend quilters used fabric scraps to create irreplaceable geometric masterpieces — the original circular textile design. 3D draws directly from this tradition: designing from what already exists, honoring the material.
